I second what Cyp said. I have a question for you though, you seem to be collecting quite a lot of very powerful lasers- do you use them for something? Or just collecting?

Edit: just rwalized that listing is for both lasers. If you are even considering it, buy it now- they wont be there long!

Agreed with the two above. Look at the seller's feedback, doesn't appear to be any risk there.

Thanks, I don't know what happens to them over time, if they loose much power or what. I just have an interest in high power lasers, I don't really have a use for them.

Lab lasers don't drop in power as much as handhelds due over time. The cooling in lab lasers is much better and the diodes are driven at reasonable currents.

Just an update to the thread:

Photo of output on a foggy night, I only ran it for about 30 seconds outside when this photo was taken, afraid to run it much longer for two reasons, the cold and the neighbors who might object. So powerful the light from the side of the beam lights up the side of a nearby house and cars stopping on the street.... Quickly went back inside before I got reported for disturbing the peace among other possible issues which could be brought up (no need to call me out on them, I know, but I had to try it outside at night at least once). I need to take a trip out into the wild to play with it longer using a sine wave 12 VDC inverter to power it. With something like this, you can't point it at anything, only high in the sky, preferably during a foggy or low cloud deck night. This night was more like that, no fog at standing ground level, but at roof top level and above, the fog too dense to bother any airplanes with it. No, no photoshop or long exposures, this thing was bright, I was kidding earlier.

I'm itching to put a concave lens on it to expand the beam coupled with a 12 inch diameter PCX lens I have to see what it does at uber low divergence from mountain top to mountain top when I can do so, only problem is the glass lens is so damn heavy, I ordered a 300mm diameter 600mm FL Fresnel lens to give it a try with that too.

I bought it, had fun with it, but want to sell it now to pay for a new toy. Anyone want to help determine a good price for it for me before I list it? I'm in Anchorage, Alaska so shipping isn't cheap, probably 100 dollars.

That ebay listing was much earlier in the year, I bought the 4W 532nm laser of the same type from the same seller which I am now wanting to sell. I just put it on Craigs List here in Anchorage hoping not to have to bother with shipping, if I can find a local buyer.
