Congratulations Curtis, Yellow/Amber nice beam !
Finally your dream has come true ....
Have you spent all your university loans to buy it?
Is that what I saw in your photo at your university?

Finished uni a while back now. Have only just got this unit. That would of been my 589.

nice. so you finally got it huh? same model as me and lazerman121. mine has the 50mW sticker on it too, but i've gotten well over 100 out of mine too, but it does make the head get warm. I think that's why that model was cut down to lower powers. how's the beam on yours? mine is pretty thin after my rework.

Yep, it’s home safe. :)
As for the power, I can’t say for definite what the power output is yet. It’s bright, but that’s as far as I know without a working lpm. I’ve got to get another one.

The beam was nice and thin on this unit too. :) I haven’t checked things like divergence yet, but from the looks of things it’s not doing bad at all.

Just wanted to add some comparison pics of this unit and a couple of my other lasers.

Here's the 593.5 next to my 589 Spartan. 593.5 is on the left and 589 on the right.

Putting 532 into the mix. Order from left to right: 532, 589, 593.5.

And now for 520 to go next to the 532. Order from left to right: 520, 532, 589, 593.5.

You're 593.5 actually looks like a 520 to me.
Are you sure you didn't get ripped off?

Oh wait, I'm downunder.....

Nice one my friend, great comparison shots.
