CNI GLP disassembly

the laser module bend out only by 1cm. if i stick it in a vice i think i will destroy it...
moreover, i don't know if the module is pressed in or screwed in.

You need to re-attach the front of the laser before you pull the entire module out.
You should not have "unscrewed" the front of the module.
Just screw it back in. Once the laser is back together, then put the front in the vice and pull the whole thing out.

ok i'll try this. :thanks:

good news!

i have pulled out the laser module (thanks RA_pierce). :)
to do so I screwed back the front of the module.
then I covered the entire laser with electrical tape and using the table vise and a pliers i slowly pull out the module.

i discovered the problem of the button:
the switch on button still works (it can be on and off) but it doesn't switch off when released so i need to replace it.

i'll post some pictures monday

I'm glad it worked out.
If you want to fix the paint job, you can remove all the gold parts, soak the black painted parts in nail polish remover or acetone, scrub off the paint, sand down any scratches or uneven parts and then give it all a nice coat of whatever spray-paint you wish!
I've done this with one of my CNI pens. I used matte black. I prefer matte to gloss.

here the pictures of the cni green module:

Good work! I'm glad to see your repair was successful.
Nice choice on the paint job, by the way. :D That is a very bright green.
