Cni gb

re: CNI GB

yeah sorry. The CNI one looks good. I think the only difference is that LG puts words on theirs. Dont quote me on that though...im not sure...Also check out the website "casesgalore.com" scope and i both got really nice professional cases. It should fit your beam expander/laser.

re: CNI GB

Alright thanks. Now Mike actually has me worrying and wanting the 5X, I think I'll just stick with that. Lol I'm getting paranoid. I could always pricematch LG later if I'm not satisfied

EDIT: Yes I'm up at 1 in the morning, BUT, I've been chatting with our friends in china since it is daytime for them. Apparently they DO sell the fan cooled Hercules style lasers. LMK if you want more info. Maybe some of you guys will be more interested in a laser that uses 3 D batteries rather than some wimpy C's or 18650"s :)

re: CNI GB

My PGL III's have worked very well and great battery life on those "wimpy" "C"'s LOL! I do like the rechargeables mind you, but C's they work fine! -Glenn

re: CNI GB

ok, scopeguy... when is this oarder going to be placed??? Iv seen things saying this thursday, and at the end of the month...WHEN???

BTW im interested in a PGL III 300 on 18650's if its going out this thursday... if not maybe a PGL III 400?????????

re: CNI GB

get a 400!!! And a beam expander if you want for a more focused beam for better burning, 5X thinner beam is 52 bucks, 10x is 104

re: CNI GB

Alright Glenn I am pretty much set but its between two different things right now. I will either get:
a) 5X beam expander
b) A hercules. What can I get for $500

re: CNI GB

Hey Glenn,

I'm considering the following:
- Beam expander for the PGL-III-C model, 10x
- Diffraction gratings - all 3 kinds (star crossed, matrix, beam fan).
- PGL-RG,150mW

Can you update me on prices for those?
Regarding the PGL-RG - can they set the powers so that the combined color is very yellow and not orange or near red/green? (Something similar in color to wavelength around 585nm)

Thanks,
Ohad

re: CNI GB

Don't Laze me Bro I've told you 50 times it fits. Ok? Straight from the people in the factory AND one of their distributors

edit: Lol i like Abolfazl's post. Hmmm a 50 dollar beam expander or a hercules for 500 dollars?

re: CNI GB

Well, my 50mW is gone. What a drag. I was pretty heated when I found out it had slipped through a hole (that I was totally unaware of) in my pocket last night. I rushed home, got a flashlight and scoped the entire place out, but couldn't find it. I came back at 6am and still couldn't find it. I'm disappointed with myself, but it's something that can be easily replaced. Glenn, I may be sending you some money for another one. I'm not quite sure yet.

re: CNI GB

You don't want something even BETTER. And thats a drag dude, those pens are too fun :( Everytime my friend goes home i want to play with it some more.

re: CNI GB

I may want a herc. What are the prices vs. Power levels? If it has all of the features that a herc has i may be interested.

re: CNI GB

Are the output levels true? IF I buy the 400, will it really be 400+ mW?
Thanks to themandalorian, and scopeguy20 for the help :)

re: CNI GB

I am safely going to say that a cni rated 400mW laser will be more like 500mW. What I was wandering however is he beam diamter. Is it nice and tight like Optotronics or fat and loose like rayfoss?

re: CNI GB

Lol you're welcome Muffin man. I stayed up real late to find out we could get a herc

and the beam is tight, definitely. I mean it's the same as Laserglow. They do have higher standards though, however I'm sure we'll getgood lasers. Beam expanders are always there foreyou also to tighten up the beam :)

And Yobresal check out a review (aries type not hercules) of a CNI 500mw, its crazy! He doesnt use dark balloons though only orange ones in it. Still its a crazy laser, Hercules will have no duty cycle

re: CNI GB

You can't get a hercules through CNI, kids (sorry to say) - that's a proprietary LG product, period (from what I understand).

Also, the QC process is entirely different between the Aires and the PGL (this has been discussed in other threads in the past) - LG is probably the worlds most exacting reseller, and the specs of the PGL (ACTUAL, not claimed on a data sheet) are definitely not up to the LG Aires standard.

As to the beam expanders, etc - I couldn't say.

There are 2 places in the world to get a Hercules - LaserGlow and on the used market if you are insanely lucky.
