That closed customs for one day not the 6 they had it before they finally sent it for clearance. At least it finally cleared early yesterday morning but it hasn't left NYC yet. If it takes that long for priority mail I'd hate to see how long normal stuff takes.

One thing that's for sure is if I ever buy something this expensive again I'm strongly going consider paying the extra for EMS shipping. From the time JL shipped my 473 to the time UPS rang my doorbell was 49 hours and that included a 24 hour delay due to UPS being closed for the Fourth of July holiday.
 
^ Yes EMS is totally worth the extra if you need it quick

With International Priority Shipping, it always depends on the country customs.

Yes you did. Both you and norbyx did a great job with this GB. You both kept us informed at each step along the way. I'm jus annoyed at the USPS. Once again I'm reminded why it's often referred to as "snail mail" here. What I'm afraid will happen is it's going to show up on Wednesday the one day pretty much all month when nobody will be home all day to sign for it.
 
Damn... not a critical issue but I just noticed my safety shutter is broken. It will twist to an open aperture when you twist it to on or off, you have to twist it to the middle for it to partially cover it up, but even then when you tilt the laser it will swing back open.
 
How easy would that be to fix as I do not want to accidentally damage such an expensive laser that I just received?
 
Do I only need to remove those (what I assume are screws) that are located in the first groove under the shutter?
