Certainly wouldn't say it was a pleasant experience. Would have to have major assurances from Kevin next time that builds would be overseen with proper QC. The sheer number of problems/issues we had was completely unacceptable. Santa's not coming to visit Sky this year.... on the naughty list.
All I can say is I would have a hard time recommending them after all this. They are supposed to be a reputable company. I would tell others to read thru the GB before ordering.
Too many different issues for him to get away with claiming it all came down to rushing orders. Don't see how that's fair to the rest of us. See it as a contract that wasn't fulfilled on his end. Members were way more than fair for the troubles we got.
Realize that some didn't have an issue but they also need to see the big picture as I consider them the lucky ones and I do mean lucky.
You were great and the members were great. Kevin needs to be made fully aware that it can't go down like this again or Sky goes in the don't buy from list.
Can't see how my comments aren't fully justified.
The Sky site is terrible, instructions are incorrect for some of the units including battery type, units are in incorrect places or don't exist where they should, indicator lights on units either aren't correct, are different or broken, shipping was all over the place including some who got a hefty blackmail/ransom charge, tracking numbers were given out sometimes the day before you received it at your house, broken/failed unit (at least in my case), broken boxes, missing parts, wrong laser, wrong gift, incorrect/missing labels, underspec, way too eratic power/mode switching or whatever, changing agreement on guarantee, too long to get answers in some cases, poor or no quality control, order wasn't "overseen" by Kevin or something went way wrong there, according to their site all lasers are tested with IR filter and will still meet spec, is it a 450/460 510/520, changing the power rating on units, when Sky screws up they send missing or corrected thing snail shipping without asking first, hard to believe units were actually tested other than "it turns on", stickers blocking outputs, units that have misaligned springs causing some poor battery connections, pens that need magnetic spacers to make connection, lasers that are not only underspec but likely way underspec as the Sky site states on every laser page that they are tested for correct power with an IR filter.
That's the ones I can think of off the top of my head in a couple minutes. Problems started cropping up in the first batch and Kevin could have stepped in and get some QC setup but this did not happen.
