So i know that this is pobably on here a thousand times, but i was if there is a way to clean a laser lens without having to take the entire laser apart. there are dust particles on the lens and the beam that is projected on the wall is very scattered. what was once a clean dot is now a big dusty speck. its my g/f's 15mw pen style laser.

Try this go to office depo and get your self a can of air, then go to the drug store and get a soft brissel brush from the makeup section, then go home and clean your lens ;)

see i was thinking canned air/ air duster, but i didnt know if there were any reprecussions to the lens. i didnt know if it any chemicals in the spray would coat the lens. Thanks for the suggestion +1.

few drops of xylol on a cotton stick... sometimes it can reach also some inaccessible areas of the lens :)

Camera shops sell lens tissue specifically for cleaning high quality expensive lenses without scratching. They're very cheap and they're the ideal tool for this task.

i use a piece of tefflon tape arround a thin wooden stick, still works for me :D.
i remember reading it some time ago here on LPF.

im guessing this aint the best method though :p

i used the duster method worked pretty well and very quick. and why wouldnt i be able to add rep, when i clicked to add it let me.

I use a LENS PEN, or if the aperture is too small, I use the LENS PEN MINI.

I picked up both of mine at WAL-MART, for less than $10.00 each. You can also get them at camera stores, but you'd most likely wind up paying more for it there. Try WAL-MART, it's your best bet my friend. If you want to find the link, try entering "LENS PEN" in the search box. G/L
