Cheapest C6 JAD kit - 445nm

What's your budget, then? Because both kits are pretty cheap for what they include.

Edit: and what diode and power are you anticipating building?

I think the lens cost not more than $5-$8 depending on the seller.. but mostly its <$10 which still makes the JAD a great deal..

But the thing is the C6 host is no more than 11$ free shipment from DX, the heatsink can be bought for around 5-10$, and the driver is pretty worthless...

So according to you we must all work for free. Designing a driver takes trail and error and a lot of time.

If $30 is already too much for you why don't you just buy the parts and save some penny ( if you manage to do that ).

Then why don't you buy them separately and build your own kit?

There are plenty of places to get a JAD kit if mine are too expensive.
You can buy the host from DX for 11.99, and the heatsink from CajunLasers for 5.99. Then just get a 17mm round driver, some arctic silver, a piece of copper and some wire.

Or to save yourself the money of multiple shipping fess from different places, you can get an S4 JAD kit here for $56.99: DIY 1-1.3W 445nm S4 Host Assembly

Or the C6 version here for $73.99 (including shipping) : https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_s-xclick&hosted_button_id=R54PA62QCGEY2
