cheap pocket o-scope

I got a small 4 position switched joystick to remote control our
outside surveillance Cameras.....
an FT232R USB UART chip for a project we're working on..
and a 110db Mini Siren repacement for my Harley's alarm system...
and of course the Assembled Digital Storage Scope...

FYI... are you guys aware that you will need to program the Firmware
into the DSS when you get it... whether it is in kit form or built...

The instruction I downloaded show two different ways to accomplish this.

[EDIT]... The Scope comes programmed and ready to use...

didn't see the programing part the operating instructions don't work for me

Yeah.... If I read the instructions correctly... I understood that the Microcontroller
comes with a pre-loaded Bootloader installed... and you need an Atmel Programmer
or a Serial Level Converter (drawings to build one are included on the site) and a PC
using the Bootloader in the Atmel AVR.

All the Docs and Info I downloaded are off the manufacturer's website here.....

Seems like a very good price for a handy portable scope like that...

But know what you are buying, these things are by no means a replacement for a fully featured bench scope - even if that bench scope is a 30 year old analog one. You should be very weary when you need at fast signals: the rated 1 MHz is half the sample rate here, which is a hard limit. On analog scopes, the stated frequency is usually the point where it loses 10 or 50% amplitude, but those remain very useful (if imprecise) quite a bit beyond.

Well... I ordered this Digital Storage Oscilloscope on May 15 2009 and I just got
an E-Mail that it was just now sent out... That's 10 days and now another 14 days
to get...:undecided:

I received the Digital Storage Oscilloscope this morning....
It came with a 9Volt regulated switching Wall Wart...
This is one High Quality assembly... well thought out...:gj:
I plugged it in and it turned "ON"... Works Right Out Of The Box...
No need to program anything....
(No ON/OFF switch though)

For the price... this is a must have....IMO...
Now... to read the supplied instructions....:D

You mean you already got it ?

I ordered a kit, perhaps just before they end them, so they said me that they was out of stock and i had to wait, and til now no news ..... ah, well, anyway, if you got your one, at least i now know that they send the items that you buy :D ..... maybe just i have to have a bit more patience, and if the problem is all this, then there is no problems :D ..... or, thinking better about it, probably my item is just stucked in custom office as usual, when they decide if gave it to me, or if keep it for themselves :P.

(you just can't imagine how a person have to be patient, living here, when buy items out of the country ..... when just the custom office take 15 / 25 days for delivery you a mail package :p)

..... I emailed them .....

Wait, you mean you got to email the producer ? ..... i tried to find a contact address on his site for ask him some details about the firmware, but no contacts nor email address .....

Edit: ..... or you mean you emailed only seeedstudio reseller ?
