Cheap 532nm goggles?

Oh man, are you joking ore did you not get my question, which I asked now for ~10 times in this thread? Here, let me clarify this for you:

No, completely untrue. I completely know that good goggles, and good means that they are also blocking IR, are expensive. But I never asked about this kind of goggles. I just want 532 blocking goggles, how much times do I have to repeat this?

Like said above, I dont want to get something for nothing. I want to get goggles which are better then nothing, which only block 532 and NOT IR! And here already was said that there are cheap, 532 blocking goggles:

Uhm, since about 1 yeat I am constantly reading in more then this forum here about lasers ^^ And before I asked this question here I searched with the search for ~1 hour for same threads and read about 20 of them. But either they were old and links did not work or there were the same "not useful" anwers as now also are here in this thread.



Guys, come on. Stop blaming me for asking a normal question. Most people out there who own 100mw lasers dont even think about goggles, and this is bad. So just help me so that I wont end like them, without goggles because they are too expensive for me ^^ You already said there are cheap goggles. I know that for example in the lazerer shop there are very cheap 532 blocking goggles, but on the one hand I read not to buy there and on the other hand I would prefer something which is reviewed by some member here.

I honestly don't know where any reliable cheap safety goggles are, because you've already said you won't buy these from Lazerer.

However, I use some similar to these for my 445nm and have heard they work for green, too:

Of course I read this, but there is only one cheap goggle mentioned, the Uvex ones. And for them I read that they changed production so that they are still blocking blue, but not green. So not what I search.

Being honest... As it's been said before by other users, you probably don't need a high powered laser in the first place if you aren't willing to spend a little money on some good safety goggles.

you misunderstood my post. I was saying if your 532 is a cheap one, which you said it is, then it lacks an IR filter meaning glasses that block 532nm light, but not IR light, will only partially protect you since the laser also emits IR light, GET IT???

cheap 532nm lasers usually lack IR filters. $15 for a 100mW 532nm laser is undoubtedly CHEAP!!!

Either your laser, or your safety glasses NEED to block IR light to be SAFE. since your laser does not, the glasses need to, GET IT???

IF you had, say, a 100mW 450nm laser, cheap non-IR-blocking glasses would work, but you chose a DPSS without an IR filter... GET IT???

Please, answer my question. O know the Eagle Pair Goggles but they are way too expensive. 15$ for a laser and 50$ for goggles? no ^^
There are thousands of people who use 100mw lasers even completely without goggles... And for just loking at the dot 100mw is still ok.
But I like safety and that stuff and so I would like to get some cheap goggles, its better then getting no goggles, right?
"Get good goggles" I already read dozens of times in this forum. But cheap goggles are better then no goggles, right? So please just answer my question. Cheap, reviewed 532 blocking goggles I am searching.

If you're such a cheap-ass, don't buy the laser in the first place!

Thank you for putting it this way. You just convinced me to pull the trigger on those Eagle glasses. Your words come across somewhat harsh, but I know you are only saying them because you care. Don't worry. I'm not about to get all group huggy on you all.

I've been using the Uvex's for my blues and they seem to be quite effective for that. But I bought a 532nm a ways back and have to yet to use it as I have been trying to decide what glasses to go with.

By the way, the 10% coupon still works at SL.

I'm glad you have the wisdom to value your eyes enough to buy decent protection!
