Cheap 5 mW Green Laser Pointer with IR Filter?

Hey all, I'm just wondering if anyone has suggestions for the topic title. I know some people might say I don't really need the IR Filter, but I'm not going to get a green pointer without one. The thing is, most sites I check that have the cheap 5 mW pointers don't say anything about having an IR filter or not, so it seems like a crapshoot. Those are all around like $10, whereas the sites I can find that DO actually guarantee an IR Filter tend to be like $40-60, or somewhere around there.

Anyone have any advice on where to look?

yes. cheap low output laser wouldn't be equipped with IR filter.
100mw and 150mw laser pens or modules are a good choice

I only want a 5mW one, cause that's the legal thing for the U.S. And I'd want an IR filter regardless. I guess I'll just have to go for one of the pricier 5 mW ones. Thanks for the input.

I just received my 5mW module from DX today. It's actually quite nice and better than I expected. At ~$7 it's a bargain. You can always get an IR filter for $10 or less (Optotronics Product Details) and glue it on top of the module.

Green Laser Pointer Key Chain - Silver or Black, Pulsed Diode, No Min Order Size
BTG-6 Chrome & Brass Green Laser from Z-Bolt® 2 Mile Range, Gun Metal Case

These are the best prices you will find on filtered 5mW green lasers in the US. I have made several purchases from Z-bolt and have had good experiences.
They also offer 10% off with a coupon code, however I don't recall what it is. Google search may yield results.

Constantino: The Optotronics pens are not IR filtered. The website states "Coatings block 96%." This means that they claim that the AR coatings on the lenses (for 532nm pass) will reflect most of the IR. This does not mean that an IR filter optic is present.

Hi :)

Can you explain this better?
You are saying that the "filter" does not absorb IR radiation but it reflect it?
With AR you mean this?: Anti-reflective coating - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
