Hah, i hope mine dont get snagged by customs. I guess aslong as they dont put the word "laser" on the package it should be right. They are a Australian based company, so they'd know all about the laws. I'm amazed that they said I should have them in 4 days from my order. Thats damn fast. Well, I guess, with the shipping price $61AU it should be fast LOL

mine shipped with a label of something along the liens of "electric motor with circuit boards" lol, no customs problems

Re: Bought some ScanPro's!!! (Renamed question thr

Hahaha, well ive never had a problem with customs, though if I tried to import a pointer now I probably would ::)

The thing is, the shipping isnt slow, i'm just impatient, but I guess most laserists are like that. Hurry up and invent instant shipping! ;D

Mine are here! just printing the manual! :-[ photos to come!

Re: Bought some ScanPro's!!! (Renamed question thr

Haha, yeah I think i need to print the manual, though I think its prolly safer on my computer LOL

Re: Bought some ScanPro's!!! (Renamed question thr

Just to let you guys know, you can use just a regular sound card as a DAC. drlava has posted a special driver for the sound card on photonlexicon, to make the computer recognise it as a DAC. There is a few free softwares that work with it too. Getting TTL is abit harder, but if you just wanna play around with custom patterns then its very simple!

Assuming I can get a custom chassis made up for a projector similar to Andys in the near future, I may start a new project using these... Possibly a RGB.

Re: Bought some ScanPro's!!! (Renamed question thr

Cool. I plan to try mount these in my RGY case. If it doesnt fit, jaycar down here sells a few nice metal cases I can check out.

He does? Are they actually made for scanners, or just simple metal boxes?

Re: Bought some ScanPro's!!! (Renamed question thr

I just intend to hook the galvo's right up to my sound card for now, I dont have one I can fully modify. I need to find a USB sound card locally somewhere....

Re: Bought some ScanPro's!!! (Renamed question thr

JUST GOT THE SCANNERS!!! :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

These things + the amp is MUCH smaller than I expected. My dad is gonna help me mount it all up in my RGY case this weekend. Unfortunately the galvo's laser input is on the opposite site, so I need to move the beam table to the other side, but no problems, I roughly threw it all in and it will fit. Now I just need to work on getting the red laser module fixed!

Tonight I gave the scanners a test on DMX, all seems good, though I have abit of interference, but once its in the case and arranged properly I should be good to go!

A shame how theres all the chinese characters, but whaddya gonna do :P

Will update regulary....
