It's not going to bring dead people back to life, unfortunately.
Maintaining a prisoner's lifelong sentence costs several million dollars. You wanna guess who pays those dollars?
A bullet costs $0.50 or so.
I think the families and loved ones of the people who were killed are going to appreciate it more of the killer is gone for good, rather than somewhere out there living on taxpayer's money with an ever so slight chance of breaking out of prison.

We need to know the motives for the attacks...
We can't get that from a corpse....
I don't think anyone in Croatia will be picking up
the Prison tab for this guy...:shhh:

Well true, there's a chance you can get info, but if somebody is fanatic enough to detonate a bomb in a marathon event, they're probably fanatic enough to rather die than give up information. Brainwashing and all that. "In the name of God/Allah/Whatever other diety".
Besides, who said anything about Croatia and tabs? I'm not trying to look after my own butt or anything here, I'm trying to engage in a conversation.

That is one of the reasons we need him alive...
It has not yet been shown that he is affiliated
with any ""In the name of God/Allah/Whatever
other diety" group.
If he was... I would think he would have gone
up WITH the bomb.
2 pictures were released of the suspects yesterday (Thursday). Within a few hours the suspect brothers robbed a 7-11. While fleeing the area they gunned down a MIT police officer in the area. Right after that they car jacked someone, then released the driver 30 minutes later. Police began the chase through Watertown, while the suspects threw pressure cooker bombs, and shot bullets at the police. The police corner the 2 suspects, a large shootout starts, and the older brother was gunned down. The younger brother jumped back into the car and drove over his brothers body, and smashed though the police barricade. They are still looking for him.
Here is video of the shootout in Watertown.
The 2 brother are from Chechnya, Russia. They moved to the US about 10 years ago. One was 24-26, the younger one 19. Apparently the 19y brother has a Russian Facebook page full of Muslim extremist video, and the other brothers wife is Muslim, and has a baby. The older brother died from shotgun wounds, and an impact from a suicide vest he was wearing. They think the younger brother may have the same vest on.
I think its obviously these 2 were on their own. The operation was sloppy. They didnt even try to leave the area till their faces were posted yesterday. Friends are saying they converted to Muslim around 5 years ago, but shaved their beards and stopped talking about it a couple of years ago. Quite a few undetonated bombs were recovered, so it looks like there may have been more targets in the future.
Someone called and said there was blood on the boat in their back yard. Police went, and shots fired. They brought in thermal imaging and saw him still moving in the boat. The boat has a winter cover on it. Boat is full of blood. Not sure if he is still alive. They sent in a hostage team to try to talk him out.
I have mixed feelings over this. Half of me wants him hung on a tree, the other half is sad that a 19y, who all his friends said was a great kid, got mixed up in all this.
