hey i dont know if you guys know about this site but the person here designed a driver to run a blu-ray from just .4 volts. i will be getting one soon with a changed resistor to output 100ma for a phr-803t and will test it out. btw these things are absolutly tiny they are only .27" X .45"

yeah this version is better ;)
the link you posted is not current regulated, he has it set up as a 5V supply with a resistor to limit the current. the current changes as the LD heats up etc...
its a lot safer to run laser diodes with constant current

I am working on it

Hey Woop Do you have any B/W png's with the op amp thing?

sure, here
print at 13% (well at least 13% works under linux, but i tried printing with windows the other day, and they came out slightly smaller. so you will need to use trial and error, place the chip on the printout and see if the pins line up. Or just download eagle and print from that)

edit:this one should print right at 13%

I also printed with windows, For me 15% was the perfect size ;)

Hey woop, do you have a parts list for these with the op-amp and everything? I'm sure its probably in the thread but I cant seem to find it. I think I may try my hand and PCB printing this week. I'm officially on vacation from work now... 9 days off.... it will be amazing.

The Op amps listed And the caps are from the data sheet, the sizes he used......I dont know but it looks like 0805

Anyone know were to get FULL PCB's made including the components soldered on? Im not sure in Futurlec does.

Hi,

I got my components today, And my 10 uF tantalum capacitors turned out way to big.
They where 3x5.7mm, witch is to big to fit on the board.

Does anybody know where to get 10 uF tantalum capacitors that do fit on the board.
Or where to get 10 uF ceramic smd capacitors, Because i can't find them.

Thanks, Yoeri

Sureelectronics has a kit of 1uf -10uf 1206 ceramics

I am sure i have already said this, but rip them off old electronic boards. cd/dvd drives are a good source.
