Books on Scanners?

Hey
Does anybody know of any good books on scanners? I'm thinking of doing a longer project to achieve something computer controlled. So i'm needing some good reading material (I know about photolexicon already ) that I can read up on.

Yeah, there are such huge variations in everyones laser projectors that it's not really possible to write a book on them as a whole.

Individual components, sure, but everyones laser projector varies in one way or another from someone elses.
