Hey, I'm wondering if there is a difference between Blue lasers, and Bluray Lasers, The price is quite different, but is there actually a difference large enough to make you spend $600 more for a Blue instead of a Bluray?

Blue lasers work much differently from Blu-ray lasers and are MUCH more complicated, hence the large price difference. Also, the beam from an actual blue laser will almost always be more visible than a blu-ray. Personally, I prefer actual blue to blu-ray, but whether or not its worth the extra money is up to you..

Yeah, completely different colors. Normally I would refer you to the threads in my sig, but blue and violet (aka bluray) look about the same on camera, most cams have trouble with 405nm (aka bluray) lasers.

As per talking , I like Blue is light blue 473nm too ,, :-)
VERY PURE BLUE looking , great light !
Just , it is tooooooooooooooo expensive ..

Bluray 405 is a lot of fun - a weird dim violet light that makes all sorts of things fluoresce.

Blue 473 on the other hand is just ....beautiful

Best price on a blue will probably be from Scopeguy20's CNI Group Buys. He'll probably do more in the future. Blu-ray is fun for burning stuff, but the blue beam is much tighter and sooooo cool!

dunno if that member is still on this forum reading stuff bryce.. this was posted months ago.

vinsion, yes, 473nm is more expensive.. it's dpss
