Wow those are nice.
I hope I live long enough to see the fully electric AWD supercars, everyone is building hybrid supercars now, but the full electrics are going to be nuts, the only limit to acceleration will be traction as the processors will keep it at the edge.
I will miss the sound of IC supercar engines, well the sounds I hear on youtube, I've never driven any of the newer cars.
I worked in a shop years ago that serviced a lot of high end cars and drove a few. I remember a Maserati, it was just a square looking thing, Bi turbo something.
I drove it out the side door and hit the gas thinking, aww this is weak, then the turbos spooled up and I was instantly facing the wall of the building, I barley snapped it back, my buddies laughed telling me I almost wiped out.
The shop was TFO in Atlanta, I actually changed the tires on Spud Webbs Bens, long time ago, I want to say 1986, Spud played for the Hawks and he was the worlds shortest basket ball player I do believe.
You know what, I think if I had the means and where with all I would restore some classics because I don't trust all this drive by wire stuff, besides getting hacked the dam things can go blue screen and kill you, no I would rather be in control of my car.
Then again in time we may not have a choice, as we become more socialist we may be required to have all the nanny software, remote shutdown, tattle on your sins....just like the crash data black box on all the new cars that records throttle position and speed, as well as steering inputs, yaw ect... People have actually had this crap used against them in court already.
Well this next election will have more than ever to do with out future direction and rate of change, only time will tell.
