BDXL - Pioneer BDR-206M

Did he actually ever hit 1,000mW? All I see is 940 in his posts

I finally got caught up enough to get back to this
Sorry for the delay
First Wannaburn dropped out of sight for awhile
Then even after Pontiac picked up the module fabrication, I got too busy to get to it

Anyway, bottom line here is that we did NOT really waste much of our time waiting.
This diode is NOT "better" than the less expensive 12X diodes available now

I ran the IP/OP at every 50mA starting at 100mA.
I did this because we were really only looking to see if this was the elusive 1W diode we all yearn for.
I was NOT trying to find kinks

I also ran it using the AixiZ glass lens.
We need to get Pontiac a bottoming tap
The threads in my module ended too high up to be able to focus the 405-G-1 lens

In any event, I ran it every 50mA

mA -- mW -- V
100 -- 93 -- 4.4
150 -- 150 -- 4.8
200 -- 220 -- 5.2
250 -- 287 -- 5.4
300 -- 350 -- 5.6
350 -- 410 -- 5.8
400 -- 460 -- 5.9
450 -- 530 -- 6.1
500 -- 573 -- 6.2
550 -- 639 -- 6.3
600 -- 680 -- 6.3
630 -- LED

For now, keep buying the 12X diodes :(

Peace,
dave

Heck if anything we should all pitch in to help you with that cost of the drive. What's your Paypal?

I hope other 405nm enthusiasts like myself can also help.

I for one am amazed at how much voltage the diode wanted at such low (compared to other 12x diodes) current.

Iam Down for $10.

Thank you for the offer, but it is not necessary

I really do appreciate it

However, the money is spent.

I'm fine with it

Peace,
dave
