Bats (flying rodents) and bluray lasers...

..a bug-summoning blu-ray.. *shudders*
i did this accidently with my blacklight tubes, three long tubes, forgot them and had the window open until night. it was.. freaky! at least! :-)

ah, bats and dragonflies.. i like them both, always excited to see some nearby!

Wouldn't it be cool to use a high power blu ray laser AS a bug zapper??

They would be drawn into the beam and subsequently fried by it. (like that scene in the family guy star wars spoof.)

..watch this thread in 12 months.. ;-)

(12x 4layer BR, combined to multi-watt zappers! heh!)

Set up a few mirrors and make a blu ray grid....

In regards to the blacklight thing... We are huge fans of blacklights her, 2 summers ago we were camping, and I had a blacklight hanging over the master bed in our camper.

Dorothy and I fell asleep with it on, and by morning the camper was full of all sorts of insects!

they used every crack, slit and opening on that camper and found a way in.

i first noticed this last year and i also created a thread on this, wether i can find it is another thing. of course, at the time it was laughed off.
i too did find it very strange how 473n/405nm lasers attracted bats closer to my window.
