It's in the Vet's section... there is private information in it so it's best that it stays with a smaller number of people. Any of the Vets and a few of the sellers have access to it though.

well i have met the guy and he lives about 20km from my house i don't have his address but i do have his phone number but texts and calls go unanswered I've given up now, but if anyone was in a position to front him I'm certainly the closest to where he says he lives if the suburb he gave me is correct, There others more pissed at him than me, but i would like the idea of calling him when I'm out the front of his house or txt even if he ignored it as usual he would get the message ppl are not happy

I dont think that would work. They change their nics like their socks, so if they had scammed they would just come back with a different name and you'd be none the wiser. The idea of the thread was to list actual names, PP addy and postal addresses so that when they come back under a different name and make an order they will be found out.

So far we only have a few scammers on there, so we need info!:can: If anyone has been scammed PM me with the details (or another vet if you prefer) and we can add them. :beer:

Well if the trade doesn't happen in a place where lasers are outlawed by nanny states the middleman still remain the best bet I'll reckon.

Only send out the items when both of the parties have sent their goods.
If not ,the middleman return the products to the one who've sent it and then blacklist the one who tried to scam.
 
^^^We'll if they've paid via PP they can still scam (charge back, unauthorised transaction, nondelivery etc) esp. if it was sent to a different address than on the PP payment. They'd just have to wait a little longer ie once they had received the laser from the middle man. I'm sure they could find ways around it...:beer:

Edit: If you could find a middle man in the same city that would work. Ie the buyer pays cash to the middle man and he transfers the funds to the seller.

Well then do it via bank transfer with a note that says "Payment for ____" .
If you are doing barter trade , then I guess you either go with a middleman that'll take a bit more postal charge.
Or do it raw and take some chances.

I remember Tonyt has like 600 post ,so he's no stranger I'll reckon.
I guess the lesson of the day is "trust have to be earned , not given"... I guess.
 
Well tony did a great job of "buying" trust and rep by being extra nice and generous. He kept on offering people mag lights and other bits and offering these as prizes in competitiions. We all believed he was a great guy for being so kind and thoughtful. Unfortunately he never followed through with any of his promises and some people, including myself and esp LB, actually sent him money to help him send these generous prizes to people.

I guess only people with a few transactions behind them have any real credibility, as anything else is just hot air. :( :beer:

Yeah not so easy ppl don't like to be assumed to be going to rip you off just because someone else has. And a middle man Isnt realistic especially if there's only a handful of ppl in your country or state you have to take ppl as being honest without being nieve .i just bought a laser off someone i don't know on this forum and i will think about it until it is in my hands, no one wants to be called a theif or scammer until its fact...of course its too late by then if ...i sold something and got the third degree about everything i would not go through with it because all the over the top questions are effectively saying I'm going to scam you which most of us find offensive

Exactly, the middle man pretty much only works in counries where a lot of people are into lasers. Elsewhere they just double the chances of having trouble with customs and (already high) shipping costs...
