I have a set of interferometric autocorrelation traces, and I want to calculate the pulse duration from them. Does anyone know how to extract or calculate from the fringe trace?

Those guys can help him. They invented FROG to get rid of nasty auto techniques. Since they needed auto to calibrate FROG, I'm sure they will know how to help him.
There should be enough papers linked to the FROG technique for him to find what he needs with scifinder/medlink.
What kind of autocorrelator did you use? A simple linear autocorrelator only gives the spectral width. With a SHG autocorrelator you can see if the phase is flat ans what the pulse length is, but you'd still have to make assumptions on the pulse shape. A FROG or GRENOUILLE can give the full intensity/time or phase/time profile of a pulse.
