Heatsinking your AtMaDrive properly ;)

I will show everyone how to properly heatsink their drivers, (only nescessary for 900mA +...) I am doing overkill but I'm also using a special 1.4Amp version that is not and won't be for sale, anyways, here it is :)

Start by mixing your thermal adhesive (not your thermal grease!!! ) make sure it's a non conductive kind as there is risk of shorts...

(yes that is a flashlight stock reflector, I use it to mix stuff on :) )
Then your gonna want to get a small peice of copper or aluminum, I have a bunch of aluminum rings I just cut & hammered out to make flat so I used that,
Your gonna want to put paste on these components,

Then place the aluminum on top like so

Place more paste on top of the aluminum as you will be attaching it straight to the pill, like so

It fits nicely & then you have perfect heatsinking for it ;) once screwed in the host the whole host heatsinks the driver which is more then enough to keep it running smoothly ;)

Note you only need to do this for 900mA + current ;)

Thanks for the tutorial!

Edit: you may want to post this as a real thread in the correct section so a lot of people know how to do so
