Argh Me matey's, she be small but deadly...video added

Re: Argh Me matey's, she be small but deadly...

The wall seems a little thin... It may be just on
the line of strong enough...
You also need to make sure it was manudactured
in one solid piece. If it was manufactured with a
seam... don't use it...
The maximum force will be where the powder is
packed before ignition..

I'd be testing that behind some kind of protection
wall..

Just reiterating the fact that I know the walls are too thin as-is.

I'll be holding it in my hand to test it too J/K

If it doesn't work, I can always just find a solid cylinder of steel/brass and make it all from scratch.

That makes more safety sense...

After thinking about how near impossible it would be to find that exact fitting metal rod to go inside, I'll wait until I get a hold of a thick cylinder of steel or metal. I like a challenge sometimes, but what I had in mind sounds very annoying.

Can't wait to see yours in action, wannaburn :)

Thought I had added the video, but I guess not.. OP updated and putting it here
as well..

This little bugger had my ears ringing for a few hours. Didnt expect such a bang
for such a small cannon with a .177cal BB. Indeed a tiny monster..

For the video, shot #3 which was the successful shot, used .2g of dark AL flash
powder.. Very powerful stuff! Put a hole in the steel can, and proceeded about
3in or just a hair more into a digikey catalog similar to a phone book.

Hey mines bigger

She shoots marbles.

She shoots marbles.

Its not the size that counts, its how you use it  or maybe im thinking
of something else

Marbles are an interesting ammo, but I dont think you will get the penetrating power.
Jerry's cannon on the other hand scares the :toilet: outta me..

Mine only shoots a standard BB and freaked me out with the depth is achieved.
I dont think I would go any bigger for something using powdered propellent.

Got any video of that?

No i dont. well i use it to shoot marbles but it can shoot other things.
Ive also from a friend of mine shot a steel ball just about the size of a marble.
he also packed the cannon himself.
Even with a 10 pound weight on the back of the thing it still moved 2ft backwards and the plastic hunting dear was missing a leg.
Ill get some video when i get home im going to be working till Monday night so on Tuesday.
