never seen an eye bandage that thick or badly applied...

As has been stated, the laser that you say damaged your sight has so much clearly written safety information that anyone who would use one without *the INCLUDED* goggles is meant for the Darwin Awards, much less play around with one near a mirror.. goggles or not.
