ok i am in the US i just thought maybe if someone was building some stuff anyways why not have someone lined up to buy it after some test run's and what not..and wen i say small im not saying like mini im just saying not like the size of the s3.. i love the cree hosts and stuff of that same style. and i would be looking to buy the best heat sink best len's and again i would be willing to tip say 20-30 buck's im not trying to insult anyone i just dont have crazy money.and would love some help....

http://laserpointerforums.com/f64/fs-stainless-steel-18650-kit-polished-perfect-445-a-52159.html

hot option, 445 lense, aixiz module (think jayrob mentioned having them for 5$), 119$ if you dont want to spend on extras. i think theres an alternative cheaper host that uses 18650s but i'd definetly recommend 18650s for this amount of power. ~50$ diode from daguin. just maybe, you could ask daguin to send to jayrob, have him finish it. no guarantees from me, but i dont think he'd mind you asking. whole thing with tip/fees could be around 200$. not a saving on the arctic, except for the arctics shipping, but avoids the size and its a nice host. plus you might get it this year lol.

Have safety glasses? remember these things are a paperweight without them. Good only for permanently blinding you or cautiously pointing at stars. Figure those in to price calculations since they are mandatory.

^Too true oic0!

You can do much worse than a Jayrob kit! Probably the most respected supplier of kits here, (there are others I know)! He won't supply you a full build for obvious reasons but it's not beyond a few basic soldering skills to attain what you're after.

Asking for help has not been fruitless in this thread!

Good luck, and I look forward to your reviews!

There is no way on going wrong with Jay's kits, I got one from him:

Building Laser Pointers Using the 445nm Laser Diodes

As Morgan is saying, it was just a matter of basic soldering, it also encourage me to the point to start again building my own. :D Give it a shot!

If you need to ask... it is too expensive...:D

costs... (even reading just this threads will shed some light)

Don't try anything using aaa cells. ~350 mW at most from them. I had to turn my "pen" down today.
And I don't build for sale a class IV to a noob.

Insulting and threatening the same people your asking for help... Yeah. That shows a lot of intelligence on your end. You might want to edit your last comment or I get the feeling your little green square will turn red in a hurry once many people see it.

I don't deny being a noob here, and to be honest i'd probably expect the same response if I showed up out of nowhere and started trying to buy a high powered portable when no one knew what experience with lasers I had. They aren't toys, and are definitely not things to be taken lightly.

I will admit his choice of wording could have been better, but your response was certainly off the deep end.

Another thing. More people will take you seriously on ANY forum.. not just here, if you at least attempt to use proper capitalization and punctuation. This isn't an attack against you, just a bit of advice.

Ok let me ask something as my last post on this ass hole filled web site.

do you need to know how to build a car to know how to drive one....?

have fun playing with your cat's.

Nope. But you actually have to know how to drive, and know the appropriate laws, etc, before it's safe to go out on the road in one. Lasers are actually worse because a lot of the dangers just aren't as apparent.

And FYI, my critters don't get to chase anything stronger than 5mw, because higher powers for that are both pointless AND dangerous..

However, so long troll.

No, theres a licensing system for that, since there isn't one for lasers, being able to build one shows you have at least a limited knowledge of lasers.

Buh Bye.

Yob---- I have never built a laser for someone I don't know and now I don't want to know you. Your threat is enough to get you banned.
