Anyone interested in my 2.5 532? Keeping it :o

Hey guys,

Just a quick thread to see if anyone was looking for a high powered 532 lab? My unit does about 2.5W-2.6W and was thinking of doing $900 shipped which is a steal for this thing. You'll get the head and PSU but will need to provide 5V's to get the full 2.5W of it.

It's this unit:



Trying to get myself a 593.5 10mW lab unit so funds will go to that!

Hap, have you got a schrodingers problem with this laser. You're both keeping and selling it at the same time it seems. :thinking:

Well sorta. It's a great laser indeed but I've always wanted a 594 lab also and am too broke to get both

Alex, for that price nobody who likes you will buy it! You need to add some bucks to the amount IMO. Did you think about finding someone for exchanging it for some other laser (or another stuff) you might like?

I haven't! Really just looking for cash though, only thing I'd like to trade would be a high powered 594 unit

Good luck with that, Alex. 594 nm is also nice wavelength, although I like the color of 589 nm more...

Alex, I am in the situation that I really want that 532 but can't afford it.
It seems we have a predicament. I'm never going to beat £700 for that much of 532, but I just can't. Plus if I did, I would have to pay you more at a later date as that is far too low. Although, I do have to ask. Why 594?
589 is a closer to yellow and is also more efficient. You can get more mW for your money than you can with a 594.

No way in hell would I go for 10 mw of yellow in trade for 2.5 watts of high quality green, nope! I would like you to get what you want, but I'm betting buyers remorse will bite hard if you do that.

No problem Alex, everyone has their preferences. I prefer the sodium glow of 589 myself, but at least 594 is rarer in larger output powers.

That's a whole lot of green there. Bet it throws one heck of a beam at night. (any chance to get some night time beam shots?) Anyways, hoping the best with your sale. Hope it sells quick for you. Best wishes.

In all seriousness, Alaskan has a very valid point.
I'd rather get 200mW+ of 589 than very little 594. Or 2.5W+ of 532.
Think a great deal before you sell this laser. You will regret it later if you don't. :beer:

Yep, who cares about a rarer wavelength, 589 nm is so close to 594 and so much more power can be had, I'd never sell that 532 for 10 mw, not for 50 mw, although I might ponder 200 mw of 589.
