Hi You Guys ,

So I now got a customer that bought a laser on the 20th +- last month. Laser was shipped but due to holidays here, the pack is being delayed.

Code is showing up on the post office website , but it is stack for a few days. Again becuase of our holiday here called Sukkot.

I explained that to him ... several times.

Now he says I am a liar and that he will tell it here on the forums. So I told him he can do that. As I can not change or rush the situation. Wish I could.

Just felt like I sharing it with you all. I am tired of getting those threats all the time. I am working hard on these builds. Never stole a dine from someone ... and this is what I get back in exchange from people.

Well, we all know you're a good guy, so as this buyer has decided to be rude you should just ignore him.
Maybe you need a contract that the buyer has to electronically sign when they buy.
Something saying they have 24 hours to inspect the product from the time tracking shows delivery after which they agree the sale is final and any cost you incurred if they attempt to circumvent the contract they agree in advance to pay.

If it gets to be a real problem with pay-pal you could get someone you trust in the US to accept wire transfers as they cost much less domestically, then that person could pay pal you so you know you are protected, you could have a US friend hold inventory and ship it so it arrives faster, but hopefully it wont be that much regular trouble for you.

I don't suppose you have anyone trying to sabotage you? Are all your bad customers in the US or are they worldwide?

Might be a nice idea. I will invastigate such option.

Thanks for the support !

Ditto to what RedcoBoy said, let him complain on a thread I doubt he.ll have any followers. I was happy with my purchase from you and all seem to realize that shipping takes time from your end, and you do mention the different holidays you practice slows it down. Must be frustrating when someone does the il "tell everyone" thing. Try to let it go:)

This is becoming a real problem for you Eitan and I am sorry. You are a good seller but possibly over stretched at times. I would advise you to keep doing what you did here and NEVER give in to threats. The best thing that could happen is this prick coming on here to LPF and trying to slander you. We would happily take care of him.
The more you give into buyers threats the more people like that feel they can manipulate you. In my own business I try very hard to have happy clients but realize there are some people that there is no pleasing them.

I believe there is seller protection you can buy with each sale on Paypal to stop people from effectively strong arming you with threats of making a Paypal claim. It may cost a little more but you can add that to the price of the laser and if need be, explain that the amount of scammer buyers has forced your hand to cover your ass. Here is a link for seller protection services.
https://www.paypal.com/webapps/mpp/security/seller-protection

I have been the victim of pretty outlandish and brutal bad reviews. They don't really matter and often times the idiot writing them do so in a way that its obvious theyre an unreasonable twat. Just keep doing what you are doing and then cover your ass with every available method.

You should also get the user name of buyers from LPF. If they get the LPF discount you were offering then get there name. We would like to know who these bad buyers are for our own protection and to keep an eye out. I don't recall a single bad review for you on LPF. I think people know how good your rep is and would end up looking like idiots and shunned from the community.

^Agreed!

It happens often at my work too(Walgreens), you try and make everyone happy but they sometimes take it out on you when you aren't at fault. Just don't let it get to you, be polite and move on with your day.

Best of luck friend

HI Joker301:
You certainly get more than your fair share of customers with over active imaginations that like to cause themselves and you unnecessary trouble.

Just llook at it as growing pains----you do a great job making and delivering good products at very reasonable prices.

Just keep up the good work and don't give in to intimidation as people have already said

That always sucks when you work that hard to please someone and they are still ungreatful. Lucky for you that you have enough people here to back you up.

So this person is being unreasonable because the carrier has delayed the package because of a national holiday. If they cannot process that, imagine the foolish things they are probably going to do with the laser :undecided:

When you say "Code is showing up on the post office website , but it is stack for a few days." do you mean that it shows up as a valid code, or it actually shows that you deposited the item with the postal carrier?

Because those are two very very different things. This is a big issue right now in online sales, particularly forum and auction sites. Sellers often obtain tracking numbers before actually providing packages to postal carriers. Those numbers will show up on the postal site, but until the package is actually given to the postal carrier, the tracking number is meaningless (notwithstanding that it is valid). Frankly, there is an epidemic of sketchy sellers who post tracking information rapidly, tell their customers an item has shipped, but "will take several days to update", and use that as a smokescreen for the fact that they haven't actually shipped yet.

It's time for everyone to move away from the whole "your package will take several days to show up in tracking scans" nonsense. It's just not true. Regardless of how you purchase shipping labels, if you properly deposit the package with the post office and watch them scan it into the system before you leave, that deposit shows up in tracking history almost immediately. It certain does not show up 10 days later, with a note that the package was deposited 10 days later, and then start consistently updating as of that point 10 days later.... what that really means, is that the package was shipped......10 days later ;)

So if you gave this fellow a tracking number that only shows up as valid, but doesn't show package deposit, then he's right to be angry. I don't know if that's the case (you didn't say it was), so this may not apply at all to your circumstances, and if so, take my rant above to be a general statement about the state of online shipping, rather than specific to your situation.

Not to pretend I know the entirety of this situation but I will say that Israels postal service isn't on par with other countries IME.
When I ordered from Eitan my laser took forever to arrive. Close to 60 days. I had the unfortunate timing to order during a major holiday and the tracking showed it had moved from the main office to another than it sat for weeks. It showed it was still in Israel the morning it came to my door.
Food for thought. Not all postal services are as good as others.

It was proccessed and showed as a valid code. That is the thing.

It does work. It just do not show it went out of Israel. And I personally can not do anything. When the code shows , my job ends. Usually after code shows up it takes a week on the semi-express methods. But Like I explained to him , holidays probably delayed it.

That is all. The code does work and is valid , and it was deposited in the post office. It says that.

Also he just opened a dispute. No idea why. But I will add the code and his pic of the pack as a proof. Probably will do it.

edit :

Called PayPal now.

their agent was very nice. She told me she understand.

I asked what I can do now ? As I understand his point of not receiving the item , but my point is that the item is not at my possession. I also explained her that I can not just go and take it back now. Otherwise I would. ( I called the post office and asked where it is , told me it is not in the agency but in the main sort facilty , so taking it back is not an option now ).

She said that I should maybe offer him a partial refund , which I already did. Offered him a refund for the shipping cost which was $15.

in conclusion , if the dispute will end towards his point , and the item will arrive to him , she said I can call them and ask to re-open the claim so they can review the new info.

So after all , I am all good. It is just annoying that instead of working with you people threat you.

Can't agree with you more, well said.

@ rhd,
I see what you mean and there are sellers that do that. They get a tracking number electronically but they don't physically hand the package over to the carrier until days later. That is not fair to the buyer. When I sell an item and provide the buyer with the tracking number, it always means that their package is with the carrier already!

RHD,
You are so on the money with that reply. i ordered a few small item on sept 2 got a tracking #for three weeks didn't show any advancements . so i kept emailing the seller nothing but smoke in the reply. The 4th week he issued a new tracking #Its now sept 30th so by the time it s here will be another 20 days. They do BS there way around once they have your money. Don't get me wrong i don't mind waiting at all from overseas i understand. Its just the sellers terrible customer service. I personally won't buy another item from this seller even if it was free. And they cry the blues about the bad feed back when you tell them how you feel. BOO HOO HOO !! We keep them in business they don't get it till its to late.

Rich:)
