Check it, Welcome to Dark Lasers!
I'll have 90% of everything back in stock soon, but you may find some usefull DIY items there, I have quite the selection
Hope you find something that will help you along,
As for getting another 250mW plus diode, you'll need a 6x GGW diode, and they dont run too cheap, i think the diode you found is refering it's power level THROUGH a 405-G1 lens. not through a regular lens. so thats probably NOT a 250mW+ blu-ray diode... maybe a 4x 150mW diode.
And also, it all depends on what driver you have, if it's a RKCSTR, or flexdriver, you'll need to adjust the current accordingly. if it is some offbrand driver, it MAY be adjustable but i doubt it. I wouldnt risk trying until you actually measure the set output of the driver you have.
If you need any help, just PM me, hope it gets working for ya

This is EXACTLY what happened to me except it was with a phr. And after thatI bought another from Darklasers in an aixiz module and ran it at 120mA with a rckstr driver but it LED'd right when I turned it on. So I broke two.are there anymore websites selling laser parts(laser diodes, modules, circuts, etc.)?
ps, im thinking about building an x ray (no, im not going to x ray myself, just my game systems and my blue laser)
and do u know where i can buy a 250mW+ blue laser diode for cheap (the cheapest i found was $40 and a whole kit for about $65) this is the story:
I build a blue laser 150mW. i put it in a case and everything, it was BEAUTIFUL, then...:cryyy: my batteries ran out of power... and my dad gave my a really old looking 9v battery, he said it was new(as in, never used) (so, i turned off my laser, turned the current as low as possible, took out the battery, and replaced it. i turned my laser back on an a flash of blue light came on and ended, i think my laser broke.) so i am wondering, can i replace my 150mw laser diode with the 250mw w/ the same driver?
