aixiz module disassembly help

It took couple hours baking it in the car during afternoon and twisted it off with an anti slip mat.
on a side note,I seem to have lost the spring(the one fitted with the lens) during disassembly.
is the spring important?

Not really, it's there to make the screwing feel better i guess, i found that it did not make a lot of difference.

Too easy....*must not make dirty comment...*

The spring applies tension to the lens - keeping it from wiggling around on it's own....if you are cautious, you can use some teflon tape (the kind that plumbers use to make threads on pipes water-tight) wrapped around the lens, making sure to not get any in the way of the laser beam....or you can score the lens horizontally - screwing up the threads a bit, so it makes it tougher to screw in, and unscrew I find that works well, if you are not worried about the extra marks on the lens itself.

Heh - I read that article you sent me, Dave....pretty scary revelations, and to find out how easily I could be labeled (a nasty word that I abhor speaking, much less typing) for the way I attack my arguments. I think you shall see a very distinct change in my posting verbiage from here on out - I thank you immensely for being the catalyst in that change. {Hat off, head bowed in respect} Thank you for that. Do you need that back, or may I copy and send it back ? I want to become more intimately familiar with his writings, and some of the sources he cited in his paper as well.

It is strange how people are willing to do communicatively what they would NEVER consider doing in the flesh. After all . . .

Wayne had one hell of a mind. I got to work on a couple of papers with his wife. Most of his work is focused in the direction that he is saying is problematic in that paper so it was a very interesting read for me the first time I saw it. If you look up his other work, you will find a total focus on theory without any consideration of people or their feelings. I use the paper as the basis of a self-exploration paper assignment in my argumentation classes. I have plenty of copies. Enjoy it. Share.

I just received my first AIXIZ modules ever... Anyways I got both mine apart no problem just used two pair of vise grips and two of those thick rubber pads that you use to open Jars lids and so on. I just put one rubber pad around each end of module fit vise grips around each side and twist! hope this helps! Works Great for me! NO SCRATCHES!:yh:

ok, and whats the problem...
I was just adding my method to the thread incase someone cam across it and was able to use the information. Was unaware that there was some thing wrong with this!
