Acceptable safety goggles?

I saw a thread about those Uvex goggles and then I couldn't find it again. Thanks for posting that link, I went ahead and bought a couple pairs. I'm in between paychecks and have a nice bill coming out of my next one so the expensive brands weren't really an option right now. Something is better than nothing, right?

Pi,
How can you say those glasses work when according to your sig, you dont own a single laser in the wavelength those glasses are supposed to cover? If you do own a laser, then please update your signature. it gives more credibility to your posts if people can connect two and two together

Livinloud you are quite right, I should have given a more detailed reply. My own experience with these HDE glasses was only a few times with a 532nm green, I don't know how powerful it was but you could easily see the beam in a dimly lit room and I can tell you these block almost all visible green light but I should have also stated that they don't block any IR. They are however known to be very effective for 445nm blue and I intend to use them as my safety glasses for blue in the near future (will be doing a build soon). Please take the time to view the testing done by mhemling33 here:

Where these glasses withstand 2800+mw of 445nm with a 0mw reading on his laserbee and he did this multiple times with the same results. I apologize for not stating all this the first time and its good that you don't just take someones word for it without looking into it further, especially where safety is concerned.
