Hello!
Yesterday a kid pointed a green laser in eye. Added some photos. It says that is max < 10000 Mw but it looks like a normal 5 Mw. I added some photos so you can see. Should I be scared?

I am trying to be helpful:

These pointer !can! have way more than 5mW. I have one thats measuring 80mW on a good cold day. These can be hit or miss power wise.
So yes, be sacred and go to a medical professional immediately. Especially if it was a direct hit and if you do have any side effects.
Sometimes someone thinks he/she was hit but wasn't actually hit directly. So if you did have an afterimage (like looking in a bright lightbulb) or if you have strange feelings/hurting, go to a professional.

i dont think theres need to worry. If you dont have obvious "artefacts of any kind" in your vision, your fine. 10.000 ofc is BS, the printing on the Laser is BS most of the time. You need to know the diode or the driver, or both, to get an idea of the output power. However, green diodes are expensive, i guess this one has anything from 5-100 mw. Even if he pointed in your eye, i guess it was from quite a distance away and its very hard to hold the laser at one point, through handshaking etc and your own movement, exposure time probably was milliseconds or even less. That might be enough with a high powered laser and a small focus point, but i dont thinkit was in this case.

try to forget about it when theres nothing obviously wrong..your mind/fear can play pretty powerful tricks on you if you convince yourself that there might be something wrong.

^^^ good advice
'labels' on handhelds are often NOT showing the mW of the actual lasers=
many times it means 'no more than' xx mW-it is the class.
To get an injury from this laser you would have to WANT the laser in your eye or it would not happen.--
be more careful who you hang with..
IF it happened know this- it is a very serious crime...no joke or prank.
IF this is a made-up story--- shame on you- go away-

ER,,,,,,,,,,,,,NOT HERE! This has to stop! As with any injury time is important. The doc will know what to do. OMG what is going on?
More and more seem to post with similar incidents for some reason. I think because lasers are just so easy to get a hold of that the number of accidents increase and we gotta hear about it -_-

Guys, I'm surprised no one has mentioned - this is a 532 not a 520. It HAS way more than 5mw NO MATTER WHAT.

Its a DPSS not a diode, probably 50-100mw minimum and unless it has a very good filter, which is very very unlikely, a good portion of that will be pouring out the front of the laser. It will have lots of IR in addition to the green.

A 5mw 650nm laser OK, not a huge issue. A 5mw or more 532m huge difference!

ir from cheap 532nm pointers isnt as dangerous as you think, (808nm) ir spreads out alot so if someone shined it 2m away from you, ir wouldnt be a problem, the green would though, they are usually 10-40mw of green light, get it checked out soon

Imagine (and it may be true) there is a medical expert reading this thread and that expert has specialised in eye injuries caused by lasers. Even they would not be able to answer your question by looking at the picture of the label. I’m pretty sure they will tell you if you have any worries at all then go and get it checked.
