Hi,
Everyone remembers the A-140's how great they were since all the new diodes came about. Well now is your chance to get some nice diodes at a great price. awesome in small builds such as pens and 501B's, sky rays etc.. i just did a test on one of 5, A-140;s from A.B here on the forum. So here is the result of one of the long forgotten diodes that took us this far..

Another great looking build Rich,
You may eventually have to rent some storage space for all those builds......lol
I am really enjoying checking them out

I need a driver for an A140 to repair a Sci-fixed unit for someone so if anyone knows where I can get an adjustable let me know.

On another note things can get way out of hand when you keep building and putting them away. Not even funny how many I have in cases.

Hi Pman,
Only ones I can find are on ebay, 1.8amp is what they advertise, but I've been getting 1.5-1.7 amps out of them. seem to be good drivers other than that. Also, they are round with battery contact board on back of bcp.

They are two for $12 I think

I have seen those. But on some of the listing pics, it looks like the diode +/- solder joints are really close to the edge of the board. I was just worried that there mite be some accidental grounding issues there. Have you noticed that on any of those round drivers that you got?

I have only snaped one into a pill ring but didn't have a problem

Hi VV,
To be totally honest, i purchased two of those some time back . Personally i think the contacts are to close to the Grounding side of the driver. I'm not bashing your comment on this driver. It's just i had a bad shot with these drivers. out of the two , one blew my diode. simple 16.8mm /17mm driver 501B host easy build. So i trashed the other one, burnt once twice shy. They are the only round drivers found on E... Stick with SL drivers or Lazereer drivers, you might more but considering the cost of a diode it's worth it.

Hi,
Lazereer has what you need He makes X Drives, SXD's SXB's, X Boost, X Boost Mini, X Boost Sub Mini, And Nano. In round and Rectangular. They come fixed or Adjustable, and you can set them at different ranges accordingly .. basically they are the best and thats all i use ..
