Hey all, every year I work as a camera utility for the national news feed of the 911 memorial at the world trade center site in NYC.
I thought I would post a couple of pics that I took today from some good vantage points where we have camera's. I will try to post more tomorrow from the actual Memorial if I can, depending on which camera I am helping with.

The site has come along very nice in the last couple of years, and there is now two reflecting pools and a nice park between the two new building.

To all those that have lost our heart's are with you.

First looking down on the stage area from what I think is going to be a museum.

More to come tomorrow evening depending on what time I get out of work.

I saw them at a distance a few days ago, I think the lights are located at a near by park and not on the site.
If i'm there that late i'll try to get some pictures.

My heart goes out to those who lost family and friends in the 9/11 incident.

Interesting story, I was in a plane when 9/11 happened... Same time

Okay, what a long day that was!!
First it took me 45 min just to enter the site because of 1000 neck down volunteers and cops that couldn't understand that I was unable to show my credentials because I needed to get them at a tent! Finally I was forced to get one of my co-workers to get a Secret Service agent to escort me onsite.(by the way these agents have ALWAYS been courteous and professional! I have a lot of respect for them)

So here are some pictures of the memorial from different vantage points around the site.

The President's armored limo, the thing is a tank and one of the agents said that the WINDOWS could take a direct rocket hit, didn't get a chance to get a picture of him and the first lady though.

Yes thank you for posting. I could not make it.:(

I actually enlisted in the Army the same Year it happened and served oversea on a 12 month tour with a 6 month extension.

My heart still goes out to all the family's.

They are beautiful.

Thought:

I hope that any of these pics aren't of any security risk. Just saying because they are of the sensitive nature.

I'm not sure how to put them into a zip file, but if you tell me how, I would be more than happy to.
Edit: I made this on an account, let me know if it works for everyone.

There isn't anything taken of a sensitive nature, even the limo I asked the Secret Service and they didn't have a problem with it.
