Yeah me and you both friend. It is still the cheapest we can get them here in CA. I bought one. It is $140 for us shipped in CA.
 
Someone should do a reshipping service like 2007Revolution is, but for these drives.

How does the sales tax work?
What I mean is, lets just say I live in Illinois (and I do) and order a few 8X drives but have them shipped to California. Will I have to pay the Cali tax or will it revert to the fact that I ordered and paid from Ill?

It goes by the address in which the product is delivered. Otherwise I would open an account in Nevada and use that bank account to pay for everything i order online.
 
WOW, that was fast. They must have just ran out this afternoon. Hopefully the prices will be the same when they restock. Newegg has a funny way of raising and lowering their prices unexpectedly.

Yes. They are already projecting the need for a 900mW diode in use with data storage. That is 900mW THEIR usage. Which means for us . . . . . :eg::eg::eg::eg::eg:

i'm not sure how much the CA sales tax raises the price, if it's that bad, i can order them and take the sled out of the drive and ship it to whoever....as long as they are willing to pay the dollar or two to reship it.
 
About 10% of the cost of the drive. I will hold you to that offer Maury!
