I just ordered 2- 3X BE's don't know what i'm doing with them yet, but i'm sure i'll figure something out. Maybe make an adapter to streamline other hosts.

I had the same issue with my host. The solder blob works fine but I went a step further. Keep in mind that this won't work with button top batteries.

I see. So did you just solder on an additional spring to the contact board? Also who doesn't it work with button too batteries?

On this one yes. There are some really nice ones from flaminpyro if you search for xboost drivers and scroll to the bottom of that page there are 4 sizes of them. Button top batteries are longer than flat top ones. With the addition of the spring there just isn't enough room for a button top batt to fit. Also it would defeat the purpose of adding the spring. Take note of the insulation I added around the spring in the tail cap.

I see what you're saying. And that insulation is to prevent negative and positive contacting together?

Not exactly. It's to prevent the tail switch from being bypassed by unintended contact of the batteries negative to the metal sub parts of the tail switch. I basically have too much spring in there. If the tail switch was the stronger beefier one I wouldn't have to do the additional insulation. I was having intermittent connection issues and this was my approach to remedy. The easy clean way would have been to just get some button top batteries for it and skip the front spring. But I was bored.
