So, I've been into lasers for a while, and I've come to know that yellow lasers are usually very expensive, due to the odd wavelength I believe, I may be mistaken, but that's besides the point.
I just wanted to know what the cheapest price I could get a yellow laser is, anything 5mw or more would do.

:thanks:

Darn looks like I missed out on that one too. Anyone know where I can get a 5+/-mw for under $300?

It's not rated 5 mW but all the first batch were >5mW , these are rated >1 mW Sorry if you are insisting it be "Rated >5 mW" ;) -Glenn

Gotcha - Rating doesn't matter so much to me actually (not sure about OP). With these CNI GBs, what's the turnaround like? I'm moving in about a month, so I think it might be ill-advised for me to jump in on one right now. (I actually haven't received my WL green yet either - so I'm guessing it will be months before the CNI GB completes?)

I'm now looking for one again. Current budget is $200 for this.

That's not going to happen unless someone offers one used.
589nm and 593.5nm start at around ~$500 for 5mW.

I don't mind a used one, and also, I don't mind Rated 1mw that is actually >3mw.

If you can find someone willing to sell theirs, that will be your best deal.
I considered selling mine before but there wasn't much interest at the time and I have changed my mind since. 589nm is awesome.

Also, Dragon Lasers is selling their 5mW "Spartan" for ~$400 IIRC.
It's the lowest price for a >5mW unit I know of, but it is a large host for such low power.

is yellow a brite green, i thougth that yellow dont exsist? not to change the subject, but what is the britest of all laser diodes?

green will be as it is the closest to 555nm which is in the center of the spectrum.
