The DX batts he has have a much higher current than your average Energizers. Thats why low current batteries won't turn on the one I purchased.

What about AAA lithiums, dont lithiums supply more than average current?

well, none of the lithiums I have seen in stores go above 900mA. I think these need more than that to function.

IIRC, the gold battery I received with mine said 2200mA. I would check, but I gave the laser to my brother and I think he threw the battery away when it died.

Would a protected 10440 and a charger be a good investment to go with this laser? Im not really up to date on my knowledge of electricity in circuits

As a side note, could i also use 1 10440 and a spacer in place of 2 alkaline AAAs in 5mw ebay pointer?

Yeah, mine has arrived. I did the battery in and no light. Trying another battery and still no lase :wtf:
Then I change the direction of the battery and behold the wonderfull effect on the star cap

The polarity is different from the usual Newwish pen. Thank you very much :thanks:

You can put only one AAA battery in, so a 10440 is no go. Way to much voltage.

Yeah ok makes sense, guess i may be investing in some of DX batteries which arent really that expensive

If I were you I would take a look and try to find a AAA battery which not only offers high current, but is also rechargeable....it would be a shame to have to keep purchasing more AAAs

Less sensitive means that it doesn´t need warm air conditions or to get warmed before for getting good power results.
Yours has also >40mW, the newish keychains with star cap must get warmed up before or you have to live in a warmer country to reach full power. I told several times before. If you want a refund, you can send it back!
