50 cent folding paper microscope saves lives from malaria

I came across this today and it floored me, a 50 cent paper microscope that can do almost as much as a lab scope can. It is powerful and accurate enough to diagnose malaria. Cheap enough that it could be distributed world wide for a real impact on diagnosing and treating malaria. I can see Nobel prize written all over this one.
