445nm 3Watt laser

Wow i went to comment this:

Im sorry but that is NOT a 3 watt laser. Typical 445nm (blue) diodes can be driven to a MAX of 2.4 watts if they have ALOT of heatsinking and are hand picked to be efficient. I've seen those laser hosts before and that is just a typical 1 watt blue. Read the warning label, it states the power.

But, it turns out the uploader has to read my comment before he decides if he should publish it or not. Youtube is getting crappier by the day.

..... and at the end of the video, for check the distance, instead point it on something safe, he's just pointing it on a street where there are incoming cars ..... very intelligent thing to do :p :spank:

I dont think its a 1W either.. super underspec.. morelike 500mW~600mW
It could burn the paper as much as i can burn with my 400mW LPC826 red..
So just a rough guess..

Looks like O-like 445nm .. but this host is rather common between laser companies .. I have 400mW green in it from O-like.

hahaha no way that thing is 3W obviously. Yea this guy is a straight moron shining the thing into the street. I also disliked. Some people are just such morons :banghead:
