Re: 405nm blue ray burner for sale

$80 is a swell price for a pocket mini :D though didn't tyler have questionable build quality? Might wanna check out what's underneath the hood there :p

Re: 405nm blue ray burner for sale

1 question.

does it have a clicky switch or a momentary switch?

Re: 405nm blue ray burner for sale

It's a clicky switch, that's the Pocket Mini kit Jayrob sells.

Many of the pocket mini's that Tyler bought were the "hot option" (especially the earlier ones). The only Tyler solder joints in the lasers are the "wire to pin" solder. If they remain undisturbed, they will usually hold. I "beef up" any of them that cross my desk (and usually add shrink tubing), but they are mostly "adequate" for a "fixed" environment.

They often break with disassembly and re-assembly though so one needs to be careful. Some of his solder joints were so cold that any movement (even impact) would break them. This, of course, would result in a momentary disconnect which would blow the diode.

If you buy this, I recomend that you either beef up (and shrink tube) the joints or send it to someone to have it done.

All that being said, $80 for the components alone is a good deal here. If the laser is working, that is all bonus :)

Peace,
dave

Hey Frostin- where would you be shipping from??and by 'had some good use too' do you mean a lot of use? have you been using duty/rest cycles? any idea how long the batteries last and how many have you gone thru? Do you have an ebay acct. with positive Feedback-have you done any biz here with anyone other than Tyler? dr lava or flexdrive-jayrobs pix show a flexdrive.sorry for all the ?s I would expect them if i were selling it/&your offer is very tempting-HZ
