Just measured IR current draw - 3.1A with Sanyo, 3.0A with Sony cells. Both are 2600mah 18650's purchased from Larry@LPF.
Is this a reasonable current draw?
@60seconds ON the host body/head are completely cool. No noticeable heat at all.
I think 3 amps input is good for a 700 mw output.
That is about 6 watts input to the IR diode.
Roughly 1.5 watts out of 808nm.
Converted to 700 mw of 532nm.
Spec for 350 mw green is 2 amps input.

How come they just dont post prices? Also, is there any tricks for getting them to lower the price for one? I herd they dont like sales of single units
