if all goes well, soon i should have a >300mw 655nm focusable laser pen for sale on my site.

looks just like my normal laser-man style silver pens but its going to be over 300mw.

the only problem at the moment is its melting the black lens holder on the aixiz housings!!

price of around $300 with a 20% discount for LPF members, bringing it to $240 with shipping included.

Nice necropost Sawt. :D

But yea, I wonder the same thing. It's not listed on his site, but Andy hasn't (as far as I know) said that he wouldn't do this.

If he's actually making it, he's gonna have to reduce the price a lot. I don't think many PPL would buy a 300mW red for £300. It's a really high price.

Unless it isn't red DPSS, of course. ;D :p

Can't you use one of those glass lenses with the casing that is made of metal instead of plastic?

well i could make a 300mw 650nm into the leadlight case but it probably wouldbt be very stable.

ive currently got a 250mw in a leadlight case and its pretty stable and can be used for 2 mins before you need to turn it off.

had it for about a month and still going strong.

so to anwser your quetion - no

dream on guys, im not givine them away for free ;)

300gbp is what, $600?

for what?

module: $5
driver: $10
open can red: $20
leadlight: $20 (didn't you get those for like $5?)

total cost is something like twenty quid. what makes you think a 1000% markup is "givine them away for free", and what makes you think you need to make the markup almost 2000% to get a profit?

yeah... no thanks, that's just ridiculous scamming.

you may have notied that was a long time ago!

you may have also noticied that in my other posted in the for sale section the 250mw red is something like £60-70 (cant remember off the top of my head)

when this post was made no one knew about open can diodes.
