$23.1 SRK 6 x XM-L2 from USA Direct DX

The stock switch is used as a flip flop and can't pass much current.

You guys know how to switch it out? With maybe a 12mm switch?

I want to build a laser in this host. It is so sweet :p

The current doesn't pass through the switch, it's an electronic switch and is connected to the micro-controller.

For tutorials on modding the driver to boost brightness my swapping the MOSFET to a lower resistance version:

That is what a flip-flop is :p

Sorry if I was unclear

Did someone say flip flops?

Yes sir. So do you happen to know how? I know the switch is removable, just want to know the specs and possibilities :p

It should be possible to make a stubby but wide heatsink, which can be threaded and inserted into the host.

The driver isn't really a driver because it is direct drive with PWM to produce med and low modes. You'll need to get a boost driver for the 4x 18650 in parallel.

Let me know if you have any other questions!

why dont you just use a simple panel mount toggle or push button. They usually come with a nut and you can grab it from you local radio shack. You would just use the driver as a battery contact board then run the positive through the switch and then too the driver.

EDIT: The stock switch hole size is 12mm.

I can't dig up the old thread, so i guess i have to ask.

Most SRK (including mine) are built with the reflector screwed to the driver. How do you take these apart?

Thanks.
