200mW of green for $125 shipped!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Does the TEC control in these just control current, or is it a closed loop system that maintains a selected temperature?

Hello, I am in the process of building a RGB scanner and I have two LOC 815 red diodes, a 445 blue and a 150mW O-like 532 green module:
Green laser module 150mW For custom build or lab [OLGLM150] - $96.99 : Welcome to O-Like.com, Your source for laser products

I am thinking of purchasing the analog version of this 150mW TEC lab laser and forgetting about my O-like for this project. It may actually be too much green in my RGB and will "down out" the LOC red diodes. I do not have a LPM but I am curious if this lab laser is MUCH brighter than the O-like. Thanks in advance...

You think it would be posible to tap off the power supply for 5 volts and install a pot? I am getting this for a laser scanner so I need the analog version but it would be nice to install/hack a variable resistor right into the unit without having to connect it to a separate 5v power supply. When I connect it to my laser show, I could have a switch connected in between the 5v out and pot to disable it. About how many milliamps does the analog TTL line draw anyway?

LoL dude.. try reading this thread...

Dude, I did. Don't remember a mention of a unit rated above 150mw. Saw lots of posts talking about 150mw being overspec, even after an application of an IR filter...dude

I have not probed around inside, but I would suggest there is no 5V rail. I would also recommend you not bring any signals out of the PSU.

Your right.Qumefox should read you post!

Feh. Sorry. Misread the question. I thought Madog was asking if if anyone had bought the above 150mw laser and if it was overspec.. But the question was about the OTHER lasers they sell ABOVE 150mw.

Ordered one of these - the analog version - and was horrified to hear that all of china is on holiday, for the moon festival. I've been told my laser probably won't be shipped until the 24th! I guess I'll live, just impatient.

Not all of china is apparently. My order I placed with focalprice this weekend changed status to shipped today.
