My son's birthday is this weekend and his happiness is more important than me keeping onto a part of my Kryton history.

Up for grabs is the Kryton Prototype. This baby cost me $900 to make and proved concept for the Kryton smooths. It's not beautiful, (although I could polish it a bit) but it's history. Currently it has one of the newer dual mode red laser diodes in it (5.6mm) and outputting 250mw. It could go higher I'm sure but I'm not interested in higher. Current driver is a mohgasm driver. Operates on 2 cr123's. Asking price $200

Next on the block is a Kryton smooth. This one is anodized purple marble (you will only fine 1 other anodized Kryton smooth) and has a bluray 125mw in it.
Asking price $200 firm!

Next is a Purple marble anodized Kryton Groove. Nothing special about this one, just rather pretty. She's going for $85

Last is 3 Black anodized Kryton grooves. Asking price $60 each.

shipping is not included in any of these. I really wanna throw my son an awesome birthday party.

Re: 2 rare lasers and one not so.

That purple marble finish is sweet!
Makes me wish I had some spending money. It should sell fast!

Good luck with your sale.

Re: 2 rare lasers and one not so.

Wow there is a Kryton Prototype! Is the driver fixed glued?

Re: 2 rare lasers and one not so.

the driver is soldered onto teh laser diode and then centered in place with a screw cap so that it doesn't short to the barrel. Other than that, no it's not fixed in place. Your welcome to glue it if you feel it's needed.

Re: 2 rare lasers and one not so.

Tempted to get that purple groove, however somebody on feebay took a $200 refund so I'm in no position to buy... just saying that there's interest in these ;)

Re: 2 rare lasers and one not so.

Cool, I knew there would be interest or I wouldn't have put them up for sale. Obviously if I haven't sold them prior to this weekend, it's too late so sowwy. I have to come up with at least $200 to make it back home for the birthday party. If I don't sell them he doesn't get a party at all other than a pat on the back, some cake and best wishes from his family.

Re: 2 rare lasers and one not so.

Can you give me a quote on shipping to Canada for the Purple marble anodized Kryton Groove?

Re: 2 rare lasers and one not so.

Small flat rate box $12.95 to Canada.

Re: 2 rare lasers and one not so.

Y'know what, I'm so desperate to raise the money for my kids B-day that I'm going to drop the price on the 4 Black Kryton grooves lower than ever before. This is a one time opportunity. $50 each until Thursday. That's $15 off the original price. This is especially good because the black dye used is the most expensive of the dyes out of all the other dyes.

Shipping still additional.

Act now. $50 for a Kryton Groove. (all the bits and bobs included.)

This is a great deal! I'll buy one of the Black Kryton grooves. PM me your paypal and the cost with shipping to Florida.

Edit: Also, could you post a picture of the Black Kryton grooves? Thanks.

I will throw in a freebie for those that purchase the smooth or prototype. You will get another empty host of some sort (c-mount, or 5.6mm) as a bonus. I will tell you, each of these hosts is valued at least $30 each, so pretty good deal.

Might be an empty E3, might be an empty BFG laser, might be an empty Dorcy JR. Choice is mine.
