This is the most powerful laser I have built to date. It also happens to be the most beautiful.
This build has 2 flexdrives heatsinked and epoxied to the pill. It runs on a single 26650 IMR battery. I am using the 405-G-2 lens with this laser and get consistent 2.4W readings. Simply amazing. I love it I love it I love it.
On with the pics.

Nice laser you got there
How many mA are the flexdrivers set to ?

Re: 2.275W Ehgemus Host

I don't have an exact mA measurement as I did a lot of tweeking of the drivers while I was assembling this build. I set it up with the 3 resisters bridged so The output is not exceeding 1.1A each. I never went around the horn so I am guessing around 1A each but I don't know for certain.

This would be an A140 from the projector me and Flamingpyro split.

Re: 2.275W Ehgemus Host

Thats s stunning laser, simple & stunning.

Less is more.

Re: 2.275W Ehgemus Host

Thanks! It is the new centerpiece of my collection.

Re: 2.275W Ehgemus Host

Very nice build. I saw that host and was thinking about getting one in that style myself.:D

Re: 2.275W Ehgemus Host

Thanks DTR, Wish I would have taken pics of the process but I was intensely focused on getting all the solder connections perfect. Took a fair amount of time to build compared to my usual laser in 5 minutes builds. I guess the more you put in the more you get out.

The extra effort makes it all the more rewarding. Plus the amazing detail that went into the host is all the better.

Just dazzling! btw, sure like the 635nm spiro, I may need to get a external power pack for it though! -Glenn

Re: 2.275W Ehgemus Host

Okay so I noticed the diode wasn't pressed all the way in today. I pressed it in all the way, installed a 405-G-2 lens and gave it a fresh cell. It now puts out over 2.4W

:lasergun::drool:

What duty cycle are you using?

Re: 2.275W Ehgemus Host

Wow.

That's quite an achievement from an A-140.
