Kizdawg,

I can steer you to some good learning tools on the scope. I'm learning a lot now. There is a good book I found with a great chapter on using scopes. I'll dig it up real quick. You can download it legally for $ or there are some free download sites that I'm not sure or their legitimacy. Hang on, I'll go get the thread and edit it in...

Anthot you can attatch them if you want to from what I can remember though the inductors dont need to be in antistatic bags nore do the blank boards. Just IC's and diodes :)

Well I guess I was wrong! hehe no surprise there Digi packed the 5.0K OHM resistor in a antistatic bag maybe has something to do witht he .1% tolerance I duno they have never sent me resistors in antistatic b4. I love digi there so quick and cheap shipping...

Anthot and Kizdawg,
i have posted the new pics of the final, adjustable beam combiner with plexiglass frame.
Take a look and let me know what do you think...

Kizdawg,

EDIT: Nevermind, those pins are bridged on the board anyway. Face palm. My bad, ignore me. It is late. :p

I think you have some bridges on some of your TPS pins.

P.S. You are amazing by the way, I am doing some boards right now and I am much slower than you!

P.S.S. Awesome board design Luke! Really nicely done!

Yep there the bridged pins.. I think with this IC you dont even have to put paste on the pins. Just a couple ribbons underneath it and it will push the solder onto the pads as it sinks. I tried to put it on each seperate pad on the ic there is 2 on the cap side and 3 singles on the inside of the ic the rest is easy cuz there bridged pads.

Ya know here is a thaught... Brainfart... If they put an extra layer of epoxy or whatever they use on the top coat just revealing the pads with a .01 or .02 they could essentially make the board with the stencil made into it. no need to syringe it onto the pads just smear it on and squeeje it off.

Ummm I dont know how... LMAOROTF!

OK no I dont know how. No I'm not stupid L3 I just dont really want to get it wrong..

Say I built a board tonight and just trying to read how to wire it up I take it it is a continuous neg. Then is it the Vin on the pad between c2 c3 and +out to diode is the little pad at the end of C6? msg to LLuke..

I guess I am just a builder show me what to do and I can do it even if I dont understand it all.. I love building things
