This 16x red diode from Stonetech was by far my most durable laser yet!!
It ran for well over Estimated 250+ hours and was abused like crazy.

It was ran at 290mA.

It endured....
50+ rounds of shock from a 12 gauge buck shot shotgun.
This isn't me, but it's an example of what it was strapped to.

Everyday use and abuse.:)

This is going to be a laser that I will miss a lot. :(
It lived a great life.

RIP: 16X red Diode @ 290mA

Well, that sure shows that Red Diodes can take a lot of hgh-G loads.

290 hrs is pretty good for 290 ma.

After some further investigation into this laser dying, I found out that the glass window on the closed can 16x red diode was broken. This was likely to be caused by the shock of the shot gun forces that where put on this laser.

I wonder is there any reason not to remove the window before putting the diode into the heatsink, heck open can's don't have a window ?

Peace All Pyro... :eg:
