14 year old responsible laser user 1w?

I am doing a joint ownership of it with an adult friend. I have purchased to pairs of od6+ goggles from survival laser. My parrents are fine with this situation(believe it or not), and i understand all the risks of owning a laser this powerfull. Just wanted to clear up any controversy.

Its a shame. i bought just got the new blue the other day and was really enjoying burning some stuff(with od6+ glasses of course), when my laser died I believe dust got into the laser when the lens fell off). I am currently talking with alien about it.

Is it an open can diode or a closed can diode?

open, so it is insanely delicate. I am soo sad, i loved it when it worked. Also worried as alien has not replied to my message for a day, he usually does it in a few minutes.

Oh ok I was gonna say if it was closed can you mightve abused the duty cycle or something. That sucks, I hate open can diodes because they are so fragile. Sorry, I think alien laser will reply soon though hopefully.

Hi Green, sorry to hear about your laser, hopefully you and alien can get together and get you going again. That diode produces alot of heat and can't be run for long periods of time. Short cycles =longer diode life

Updates!

Alien is busy and currently cant fix my friends laser. As it is the end of the school year, my parents have finally said i can own a 1 watt blue laser. I ordered it today i am so exited. I got the thor m2 as i have heard it is the best one due to the lens being glass rather than plastic. So yah, i now own a 1 watt laser will tell you if it was everything i imagined it would be
