Does anyone know the size of threads on the back of a 12mm module?
I’m trying a micro build where the module just threads right to the body of a 10440 host.
I’m guessing they are M11x .5 but I can’t find my pitch gauge to verify.

Hi,
Yes as all said M11x0.5 . I use these taps when I need a longer copper back half when I make them.

Awesome thank you!!
I will try and find a m11x0.5 Tap

You can find them mostly online on ebay or amazon, these are not a standard pitch or diameter that many local hardware or tool stores carry.
Most all of the ones I've found online are Chinese made, and not the highest quality, but they work just fine for our purposes of tapping aluminum or copper.

Here are a few that I found, there are others though. Good luck! :)

Looking good, be sure and share more photos when it's complete! :)

That's a good idea to tap the pen to fit the module threads when the pen diameter is too small for the copper module to slip inside.

iMy (3 pcs) 1/4-20 (hand) taps just arrived--& they 'look' good so far and good price.

I have a set of several sizes of metric taps on the way.
The 1/4 tap is the 'standard' & its what is on the bottom of all cameras and on all tripods afaik..its one tap you 'must have' if building lab lasers etc.
TY so much Jimmy Carter for screwing the USA on 'going metric'

however compared with current admin.. he was a great pres..
I LOL when NBC cut Donny off mid speech when it was clear he was ONLY doing that to help w/ the mid-term elections ''>>>??? but still 'tent city' prisons..WTF?-- and he has plans, I hear, of screwing us again and the China sellers by 'un-doing' the deal that got the US ALL free $hipping
on small, cheap & light weight items...

it is an insult to all the world's 'morons' to call him one.

That will only happen if this trade war gets so much worse that we have huge tariffs on all Chinese goods. In the end, it will be American companies that will lose. We need to be able to sell to the Chinese.

BTW, thanks for that, Len. :D
